Bible Verse Theme Fund for Lutheran High in 2008
"Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to o good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share."
- 1 Timothy 6:17-18

Ways to Give:
While cash and checks are always wonderful gifts, sometimes other methods of giving can be beneficial to the donor and the donee.
- Prayer - We thank you for including the students, faculty and staff, and the mission of Lutheran in your prayers. Click here for your own 31 day prayer guide.
-
Annual Fund - Your unrestricted gift helps keep tuition lower than it would be without your generous support. Give online or send a check payable to Lutheran High to the school.
-
Special Projects - If you would like to support a special project or area with your gift, indicate the area you would like to help in the ‘other' category online or include a note with your check to the school
-
Use your IRA - 2010 UPDATE - currently not available, although many experts expect this to pass sometime during 2010. Individual Retirement Account owners who are 70-1/2 or older may directly transfer up to $100,000 from the IRA to charity. This process satisfies the minimum required distribution, does not count as taxable income to the IRA owner, and is not tax deductible. Please email or contact the Director of Development with questions or for assistance.
-
Stock Gift -Give an appreciated asset, like stock, directly to the school. Lutheran will sell the stock and immediately benefit from the cash. Your gift of stock saves you capital gains and can yield a charitable tax deduction.
-
Gift Annuity - Purchase a Charitable Gift Annuity that provides you with a competitive interest rate, is eligible for an immediate tax deduction, and will benefit your favorite ministry in the future.
-
Bequest - Include the school in your will. I give (__%) ($___) of my estate to The Greater Indianapolis Association for Lutheran Secondary Education, Inc., 5555 S Arlington Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46237; to provide funding (for the purpose of ____.)(for the programs as determined by the Board of Directors.) Tax id #51-0143084
-
Beneficiary - Change of include the school as a beneficiary on your life insurance, annuity, certificate of deposit, or other investment so either the whole amount or a percentage can go directly to ministry and bypass the probate process.
-
Life Insurance - You may wish to buy a life insurance policy and immediately gift it to the school. The policy allows you to leverage a small amount of cash (the premium) into a larger sum. By giving the policy to the school, your premiums are made as a gift to the school (and are tax deductible) that the school then uses to pay the insurance company.
-
Talk about it - Talk with your estate planning advisors (attorney, accountant, and insurance representative) about other ways you might transfer the blessings the Lord has given you to your children and ministries that are close to your heart.
